I will be soon taking delivery of Phillipe Bosset string sets in 80/20 brass this is reputed to be the best brass alloy mix for getting the best results from acoustic archtop and fine acoustic guitars.
This particular roundwound string manufactured in this brass alloy is lawded on many specialist sites and specialist acoustic archtop players sites as reproducing the best tonal and sound sund response of this type of guitar.
Jonathan Stout and Rob Mac Killop are among those that say the best results come from an 80/20 brass alloy mix, there are a number of manufacturers that produce this type of string but Phillipe Bosset in Paris are much revered as being among the finest.
They are a small niche market producer that also produce in nickel and in nylon for other genres of acoustic strung instruments.
